Jesus was watching a flock of a hundred sheep. One small sheep wandered away, and Jesus left the ninety-nine on the hill and went to look for it

He was gone for a long time, and while He was gone one of the sheep started to wander. Another older sheep noticed and ran to get Jesus, but He was not on the hill. The older sheep cried and cried, running around frantically, but their master was nowhere to be found. Panicking and realizing that the wandering sheep was lost and Jesus was not there, the older sheep left to find the wanderer. After a trying ordeal, through fear and danger, the lonely older sheep found the wanderer. Protectively he guided his little sibling back to the hill and the other sheep, only to find Jesus' lost sheep safe and sound and Jesus' smiling face. It was then that the older sheep realized that Jesus had been there all along.


Jesus never left. He works THROUGH people to reach out. Let us all be God's instruments.
