Devious Journal EntryI would like to offer my apologies for never commenting and also for never replying to comments on here.
I am somewhat more active over on Tumblr (same name: catussnake) if you are interested, though I put all my artwork on dA too. so it's mostly reblogging stuff.
Hope all my watchers on here are doing well, and sorry for the inactivity.

dear watchers,I've just started school so I'm not going to be very active now. I'll still upload my sketch dumps but don't expect any finished work for a while.
i just wanted to saysorry I'm so bad about responding to comments
I'm not trying to be rude or act like I don't appreciate the comments, or anything like that. I'm just really awful about getting around to replying to them! I do always ALWAYS read them though!! I love the comments I get! I'm sorry I don't always respond.
That is all.
hey guys soMy little sister is in a bit of a financial bind and is having trouble paying her rent.
She's trying to get commissions to help cover the cost until she can find another job.
Here's her commission info: http://clockworkaardvark.deviantart.com/#/d5dpcnb
So yeah if you're interested, she could use the help.
Bots of Honorrrrrrahhh so the short Transformers fancomic that I worked on is finally out!
it's called "Destiny: Part 1" and I worked as the colorist. It's part of a larger project called Bots of Honor; you can read all of it here: :iconbots-of-honor:
anyway it feels like a year since I finished working on it! I don't know really how long it has been XD but I finished it a long time ago.
anyways the whole project is pretty awesome, there are some very talented people working on it, you should definitely check it out! again here's the link: Bots-of-Honor
EDIT: hey, thought I'd include the thumbnails of the ones I worked on
You CAN Do It Too! Commissions, Exposure, and...
Do you feel like no one cares about your artwork? That no matter how hard you try, you'll never improve? Well, I've been there before.
A little less than a year ago, I didn't even have 100 watchers. It was tough trying to find commissions, even though I priced them around 10 - 100 an hour. Sure, I had some wonderful people supporting me (thank you very much for that!), but when I looked at the thousands of diehard fans the "popular" artists had, I felt kinda useless. It seemed like even a thousand watchers, or just being able to earn minimum wage was impossible. Sometimes I wanted to cry from all the effort I put in. I kept drawing and drawing but barely improving. I was frustrated and felt useless. But instead of giving up, I pushed myself even harder, and by God's grace it's starting to work out for me.
I now have over 16,000 amazing people encouraging me, and I know it's only a matter of tim
Freelance Paychecks are RealA few weeks back while thinking about this journal, I came across a forum for paid photojournalism jobs. I left it some time later in complete shock. There I found posting after posting about jobs paying nothing, next to nothing, or promising payment and then paychecks never arriving in the mail. I sat there, closed the laptop lid, and thought for a long while.
I know I’m fortunate to be paid for what I do. A big part of this is because I specialize in something very few photographers are doing at a professional level. But what most people don’t realize is that even at this level a large percentage of my workload involves pay negotiations. There are contracts that took months of negotiation. Some took weeks, or a single week, or several days, or a flurry of emails or texts in just a few minutes.
Every single one of those initially low-balled me; offering me starting contracts at 10-20% of my regular rate. And despite publications th

Avoid That dAramaAnyone who has been an internet user for a period of time should know that drama is one of the hallmarks of the absolutely wonderful technology that allows us to be connected 24/7. It's like glitter, one moment all you see is just a fleck of it then suddenly, it's everywhere. DeviantArt is chock full of massive amounts of it (drama, not glitter!) at any given time, so let's talk about what you need to know to avoid it (aaaand what to do if you find yourself in it)!
I just caused the argument because... I wanted to get more pageviews, I wanted to be popular, for the lulz, I was bored
I ALWAYS have to reply
If you think the interwebs is the only place you'll find people you don't agree with, I think it's time you spent a little more time away from your computer. First off, let me say that there's nothing inherently wrong about disagreeing with someone. Nothing at
